  3. NEXTSTEP Satellite Tracking
  4.  
  5. Version 1.2 of Rendezvous is now available from the NEXTSTEP archive sites.
  6. Rendezvous is a general purpose Satellite Tracking and Space Surveillance
  7. utility for NEXTSTEP users.  Rendezvous is currently compiled only for
  8. Motorola and Intel architectures.  See the Rendezvous1.2.README file on
  9. the archives for complete information.

  11. New for version 1.2

  13.    o Lunar Eclipses are calculated and displayed in the Telescope
  14.      Inspector window.
  15.  
  16.    o The Map in the Main Window now has an option to display the
  17.      lunar shadow (umbra and penumbra) as it passes over the earth
  18.      during a Solar Eclipse.
  19.  
  20.    o Autoscaling has been implemented in the Trajectory Plot Inspector.
  21.      All graphs in the Trajectory Plots window are autoscaled
  22.      by default.

  24.    o Slight rearrangement of controls in the Telescope Inspector.

  29.    o A Solar System Inspector has been added which shows the
  30.      relative positions of the planets in their orbits around
  31.      the sun.

  33.    o The Telescope Inspector now has an option to display the
  34.      planets in the field of view allowing a user to find the
  35.      azimuth and elevation to a planet from his location.

  46. The demonstration copy is a fully functioning copy of Rendezvous, with the
  47. caveat that only calculations done with the Epoch Date set prior to June 1,
  48. 1994 are correct.
